Ian MacDowall

Director

Ian is a director of K4S and has in excess of 32 years’ experience in the building services industry, starting as an apprentice building services engineer with Haden-Young, before progressing through a international role with York International as a specialist Industrial Chiller engineer. Ian moved to world leading manufacturer Carrier Air Conditioning where he progressed to the role of National Project Manager in control of the project team responsible for some of the most involved and prestigious HVAC projects in the UK

Gordon Keyworth

Operations Director

Gordon is a highly skilled and experienced operations director with 44 years’ experience. He is a qualified SMSTS Site Manager and First Aider. He worked for 14 years with York International and 12 years with Carrier Air Conditioning before setting up K4Service with Ian.

James Batten

Commercial Director

James has been involved for over 30 years in the HVAC Industry and gained valuable experience with 3 National MEP Contractors. His senior management role with leading MEP Contractors for England & Wales brings a knowledgeable & multi-disciplined management skills with a proven record. James has an excellent project delivery history within collaborative framework environments. James identifies business opportunities to maximise profitability through good procurement practices whilst safeguarding company & customers interests by minimising business risk. James has a prestigious multi million pound project portfolio across the UK.

Clive Peacock

Service Director

Clive has 29 years’ experience in complete FM and Building Maintenance Management and holds a controls Electrical City & Guilds qualification allowing exceptional knowledge of complex installations together with qualification in I.T, Electrical, Legionella and Fluorinated gases. He is proud of his Diploma in leadership and management skills and his field experience in Retail, Commercial and public sector helps enable our precise service solutions. Clive’s previous roles include, Engineer, Supervisor, Regional Manager, Contract Manger & Service Manager currently qualified in CAFM Development and Management.

Bob Munkley

Technical Manager

Bob has over 30 years in HVAC Industry with field experience in Residential, Domestic, Commercial & Industrial sectors bringing his supply & manufacturing chain expertise to K4S. His earlier roles ranged from Project Engineer to Contracts Manager with the past 10 years as a company Director in ventilation services. He has an open-door policy and manages our Contractors & Documentation. Bob’s previous experience on large scale prestigious projects inc. Harrod, Numerous Oxford Colleges and Hospitals and has won, designed and delivered numerous projects up values of circa £1million.

Jeff Hamlett

K4S Service Manager

Jeff has 45 years Industry Experience, 15 years at Trane Business Development Manager – running national contracts and 15 years at York International – Service Manager, Bristol and Cardiff. He was a full HVAC Apprentice with Thayers and holds a City and Guilds ONC in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, HVAC National Award for Design of a CFC Recovery Unit and a BA Honours in Business Studies.

Jody Barnes

K4S Health and Safety Advisor

Jody is a seasoned Health and Safety Advisor with a deep passion for creating safer, healthier workplaces, particularly in the construction industry. With over a decade of experience, Jody has become a trusted advisor. He helps navigate complex regulations with a practical implementation and effective safety measures. His key areas of expertise include comprehensive site safety evaluations, development and delivery of construction-specific safety training, incident investigation and root cause analysis and implementation of health and safety management systems. Jody’s approach combines technical expertise with a hands-on understanding of the unique challenges faced by construction teams. From site inspections and risk assessments to tailored training programs, Jody ensures that every project is compliant and that our workers are equipped to maintain a safe environment. Known for a pragmatic and approachable style, Jody fosters a culture of safety that aligns with both legal requirements and operational goals.
