Challenges

Change of service strategy from a three port constant flow system to a two port variable flow strategy, aiding in reducing energy consumption.

Change of chilled water flow temperatures from 6°C to 15°C to maximise free cooling and increase the efficiency of the chiller.

Solution

The main chiller plant was replaced along with 48 CRAC units; full service of the datacentre was maintained throughout.

Replacement of dehumidification plant for Main Swimming Pool and Learner Swimming Pool.

Replacement of air handling plant serving the changing room areas.

Solution

Off-site delivery of new plant into K4S factory unit.

Dismantle of the new equipment into component form and provide specialist logistics and handling to reassemble and test on-site.
